The word of the month      16 February 2011

After a break I am finally back to tell you my word of the month. Our daughter is born in summer an Max is the big proud brother!
In the moment we could think that spring arrives soonly, 16 degrees, sunshine and blue sky. The almond trees already show their flowers! No snow for the moment...

Next thing to do: bottling of the Rosé 2010 and the Pépieux 2009!

December 2010 PRUNING
During Christmas we have been pruned all our vines so the winter break could start.

October 2010 HARVEST

25 very nice people helped us to harvest all grapes during one day, on saturday 9th october. 8 long hours but very nice athmosphere, lots of laughing and good meal. One day after it has been raining during 48 hours...this was tight!

August 2010 BOTTLING
Carignan 2009 is bottled and waits for the next year to beeing tasted..

The word of the month      16 february 2010

And again a snowfall, not so big as the last one, but important. Temperatures about -3 degrees, a real winter that we didn't have since a long time. We gripe, of course, when we have to leave up earlier in the morning in order to rasp the frost from the car, hands and feet always freezed, a nice wind that makes us feel a temperature about the - 15 degrees, and the lack of sun for our moral...But for the vines this coldness is a real rest period and a important supply of water and potassium.

Keep warm with a glass of good wine!

Snow, Fun and Sunshine... 10th of January 2010

The word of the month    14th of January 2010

What a beautiful moment! It is very rarely here to see all this snow. The last big snowfall was in the 90s.
The time was standing still, the only noise you heard was the crunch of our boots on each footstep. Sun, -8 degrees but a fresh, clear and healthy air...just take a deep breath.
But it is already finished and we welcome the rain...

  The work in the winter

Pruning is now finished and we will plough the soil and dung it with an organic fertilizer.

  The quotation of the month

"Wine is the drink of the gods, milk the drink of babies, tea the drink of women, and water the drink of beasts."
